Data
CBDatastore
Chartboard organizes its data (OHLCv, Shorts, Events, Timelines etc) in a mapped hierarchical disk structure that is transparent to the user. This hierarchy accepts data from numerous sources in both propriety and industry standard formats. Such data can be in the form of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly series from 1st January, 1900 onwards. Data for coarser periods is synthesized from the immediate primary period. Whole or parts of CBDatastore's can be exchanged between workspaces.
- Multiple CBDatastore's supported with manual copy-paste data exchanges.
- Independent explorers instantiated for each attached CBDatastore. Multiple instances must have unique internal root names (example CBa, CBc, CBe, etc).
- Capacity limited only by available disk space with data sets paged as required. Utilities exist for flushing, defragmenting and validation
- Intuitive directory hierarchy may be zipped, copied, pasted and backed up independent of Chartboard.
- Securities hierarchy and members managed by user.
- Datasets organized on a country and market basis.
- Inspection facilities for raw data.
- Independent CBDatastore locations. Usually C:\ProgramData\Chartboard or C:\Chartboard or C:\Users\<name>\Chartboard
- Capacity only limited by disk space (>1Tbytes).
- CBDatastore's cannot be manually merged externally or independently of Chartboard.
